History of Quindalup
The state of Quindalup was the first to establish the timber industry in the Western Region. Timber mills were developed in the town and they use jetty to export their products.
The government has secured the land in 1870’s but the local fishermen pleaded to create a town along the beach front in 1899.
In the same year, the land was surveyed and officially became a town in the South West Australian region.
The name Quindalup was first used on the timber mill owned by McGibbon and Yelverton.
